Right in Sintra's historic centre, this palace was shaped and expanded by Portuguese monarchs over centuries. Rules: Only one dog is allowed per visitor and must be kept on a non-extendable leash. Potentially dangerous breeds must be accompanied by someone over 16 and wear a muzzle and a leash no longer than one metre.
