My son is 2 and he had a blast. The best was when the staff took extra care of him when he went on rides. Especially at the water park when he was have trouble and they rushed to help him. I appreciated the staff the entire time.

We used Headout for our tickets to Kings Island. We had so much fun at the park! Headout helped with our planning. The park rides are great and the treats are yummy! We had a great time. We will definitely be coming back to visit.

One day tickets were perfect, should have bought Fast pass, as the wait times were an hour or more. Overall good experience but o should not have bought dining plans, they were a waste of money.

Head to the main entrance with your mobile voucher and a valid photo ID ready for scanning. Once inside, take a moment to check the park map and ride boards so you can plan your route—whether you want to start strong with a record-breaking coaster, ease in with a family ride, or catch a live show early in the day.

What to expect

Since 1972, Kings Island has delivered seasons of fun across 364 acres in Mason, Ohio—earning its place as one of the largest amusement and water parks in the Midwest. Today, the park pairs signature thrills with family‑forward experiences and a full‑day roster of dining, entertainment, and convenient amenities.

Thrill seekers head straight for Orion®, one of only seven giga coasters in the world, featuring a 300‑foot first drop, 5,321 feet of track, and speeds up to 91 mph—the tallest, fastest, and longest steel coaster at the park. Nearby, Diamondback rises 230 feet, dives 215 feet at a 74‑degree angle, and races over 5,282 feet of track with a splashdown finale. And no visit is complete without The Beast, a home‑grown legend that still stands as the world’s longest wooden roller coaster at 7,361 feet, charging through the woods at up to 65 mph with tunnels, banked turns, and a 540‑degree helix.

Families find easy wins in CAMP SNOOPY® & PLANET SNOOPY®, the park’s award‑winning kids’ areas packed with 20+ themed attractions (including four roller coasters) plus character meet‑and‑greets and live shows.

When it’s time to cool off, Soak City Water Park (included with admission) offers 36 water slides, two massive wave pools, rushing rivers, lagoons, and kids’ play areas. Soak City recently introduced RiverRacers—Ohio’s first and only dual‑racing water coaster that hits up to 30 mph—and expanded its riverside kids’ zone with Splash River Junction, featuring seven new slides and hundreds of new loungers and chairs for relaxing in sun or shade.

What to bring

A valid photo ID may be required for verification at the entrance.

What’s not allowed

Outside food, beverages, and coolers are not permitted, except for guests with special dietary needs, baby food, or medical requirements.

Prohibited items include weapons, fireworks, and similar hazardous objects.

Smoking or vaping is only allowed in designated areas outside the park.

Loose articles are not permitted on most rides and should be left with non-riders or secured in lockers. Cell phones, keys, wallets, or other small items must be secured in cargo pockets or zippered jacket pockets. All loose articles which cannot be secured must be left in a locker or with a non-rider prior to entering the queue.

Accessibility

Kings Island offers an Attraction Accessibility Program for guests with disabilities, along with services like braille and large-print guides, and assistance through Guest Services.

You can request accommodations using the IBCCES Accessibility Card.

Service animals are welcome in most park areas (with some ride restrictions).

Many amusement rides use manufacturer-designed safety systems built to accommodate people of average physical stature and proportion. These systems may limit the ability of some individuals to safely ride.

Guests of larger or smaller size; guests with heart, back or neck conditions; pregnant guests; guests recovering from recent surgery; and guests with casts, braces, restrictive devices or certain disabilities may not be safely accommodated.

The property is fully cashless; cash is not accepted at the theme park, waterpark, or parking toll plaza. Cash-to-Card kiosks are available throughout the property.

If you leave the park during the day, you can re-enter by obtaining a re-entry ticket at the gate.

Guests 15 and under will need to be accompanied by a chaperone. If you're 16 or older, you might be asked to show a valid government-issued photo ID (like a driver’s license, state ID, or passport) at entry to confirm your age.
