Getting started
You don’t need to begin at any specific location. Simply walk to the different visitor sites, where your ticket will be checked. For more information at the start of your visit, stop by the reception at the Visitor Center.

Kinderdijk
Kinderdijk is a remarkable Dutch landmark, recognized for its 19 windmills that have managed water and shaped the landscape since the 18th century.

What’s not allowed
Dogs on a leash are allowed at all locations and tour boats except for the catering facilities in the Visitor Center and the Blokweer Museum Mill.

For your convenience, your guide dogs are welcome to join you at all locations.
Additional information
Opening hours vary seasonally, with specific times for boat departures and museum access. Kinderdijk is open from 10:30am to 4pm until December 31. The last boat departs half an hour before closing time.
Kinderdijk is closed on December 25, as well as from January 4 to 21, 2027.
The boat tours may be suspended in extreme weather conditions.
You can park your car for €9.50. Car parking locations:
From November 15 to March 14: Nederwaard 1, Kinderdijk.
From March 15 to November 14: Kabelbaan 1, Alblasserdam.
