Located in the heart of the Christian Granada and in the center of the city are the Cathedral and the Royal Chapel. These monuments have been built on the old main mosque and mausoleum of the Catholic Monarchs and their first descendants. They are also known to be a faithful reflection of life before and after 1492, the date of the Christian Conquest, and how the Taking of Grana had forever changed the destiny of Spain and the world. Visit the monuments for a dive back into the ancient history of this city.

Explore the two oldest and most charismatic neighborhoods in the city, Albaicin, and Sacromonte. These contrasting areas will provide you with an insight into the city’s history, legends, and local culture. With an official guide, start at the city center and make your way towards Albaicin, the Arab Quarter, through the narrow alleys. Spot the white walls and flowery balconies. Walk towards Sacromonte next, the most Flamenco neighborhood in Granada. Learn why people lived in caves and dug into the mountains present. Discover the reason behind the gypsy people choosing this place for centuries of their settlement.
