Very well organised, great value tour. The port tastings were wonderful and the lunch provided was unexpectedly good, providing meat, fish and vegetarian choices. The unlimited wine with lunch was a real treat too! The boat cruise was lovely and a great way to appreciate the beauty of the Douro valley. Our guide Luis was really entertaining, engaging and informative and our driver Victor (I think) was safe and steady. I highly recommend this tour. It was a definite highlight of our trip!

It's been a lovely tour, rather well-organised and lived up to expectations! The scenic views combined with the excellent tour guide made the whole experience unforgettable. I'd like to express gratitude to our tour guide Egor (I'm not sure whether I spell his name correctly) but his middle name is Jesus ☺️ He didn't turn water into wine, but otherwise did his best to entertain us and to provide the enthusiasm 😁🔥

This Douro Valley wine tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Porto. The entire experience was well organized, the meeting point was easy to find, and booking through Headout was simple and hassle-free. Our guide, Cuber, was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and kept us informed throughout the day. We learned so much about the history, traditions, and hard work behind the wines and ports of the Douro Valley. The lunch was absolutely delicious and prepared in a traditional Portuguese style over an open fire, which made the experience even more special. The wine tastings were excellent, and the scenery was breathtaking. Overall, this tour was worth every penny and is a must-do if you're visiting Porto. Highly recommended!

Our guide Manuela was absolutely brilliant! She was very friendly and knowledgeable, providing lots of interesting information and answering all our questions. Our bus had a slight malfunction, but she and the driver Irene did a great job of keeping us still on track and where we needed to be. The views on the trip were stunning and the port was of course delicious! Overall it was a brilliant experience and a great way to see the Douro valley.

What to expect

Your experience unfolds as a chronological journey through the Douro Valley, combining guided visits, tastings, and memorable viewpoints.

Visit the first winemaking cooperative founded in 1959, where an expert guide shares insights into the region’s wine production and history.

Stop at a traditional wine cellar or wine shop to learn more about Porto wine and sample selected local blends.

Enjoy an exquisite lunch in a wine cellar, paired with Douro wines. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available upon request.

Stay connected with Wi-Fi onboard the mini-bus throughout the day.

Pause at a scenic viewpoint for photo opportunities, capturing the valley’s terraced vineyards and river vistas.

Embark on a 1-hour boat tour on the Douro River, taking in the valley’s landscapes from the water.

Indulge in a tasting of pure olive oil, a regional specialty.
