We had a wonderful experience with Desert Safari and Tours, especially with Syed Mohib. He was very punctual and arrived on time to pick us up. He accompanied us throughout the whole day and was very friendly, helpful and attentive. We had our children with us, and he made sure that both we and the kids had a great time. The desert safari is worth every penny. As drivers, we had Ranjit, who not only paid a lot of attention to the people but also made his drive an experience for us with absolute skill. He explained a lot and constantly made sure everyone was doing well. I can recommend the tour to everyone, and if you get Ranjit - you've got the best.

Desert safari with guide Yasir was really pleasent. Excellent and caring guide alhamdulilah. Amazing driving skills from a very obviously experienced driver off road and on road. Thank you for the experience!

The Safari experience was great.. I went Solo!! Ranjit was driving the car and he was very professional.. Overall, Dune bashing was the highlight.. it was a thrilling experience!!

The first half was very nice and fun with the quad and dune bashing. You get the chance to take nice pictures and the view is stunning. When they say 6 hours though it is! The second half, the camp, with the shows and stuff felt very long and the food not that good. They had a variety of shows though but at some point you just want to leave. Overall nice experience.

Your journey begins with an air‑conditioned 4x4 transfer from your hotel (Dubai, Sharjah, or Ajman) to the Lahbab Desert. Upon arrival, you receive a brief safety and equipment overview before any activity starts.

Desert adventure

Experience a 30‑minute dune bashing session in a certified 4x4 that navigates the dynamic terrain of the red dunes. A scheduled stop at the highest dune gives you time for sandboarding and capturing sunset photos.

Camp experience

At ATLANTA Tourism Camp, enjoy a short camel ride that offers a taste of traditional Bedouin travel. At the camp, you can join in on cultural activities such as henna painting and traditional costume photography.

Dinner & entertainment

Unwind with a BBQ buffet dinner featuring a mix of veg and non‑veg options, fresh salads, grilled meats, and local desserts. Live shows—including belly dancing, Tanoura, and two fire displays—round out your evening (note: live entertainment isn’t available during Ramadan).

How is the Lahbab Desert different from the Aweer Desert?

Lahbab Desert is known for its red dunes, some of the tallest in the region, making it a prime location for dune bashing, sandboarding, and quad biking. Aweer Desert has firmer, golden sands with smaller dunes, making it more suitable for beginner off-roaders and casual desert drives.

Bring along your sunglasses, sunscreen, hat, jacket, and camera.

What's not allowed

Note that the following are not allowed during this experience: luggage, large bags, pets.

Accessibility

The dune bashing experience is not suitable for: children aged 3 and under, pregnant women, wheelchair users, people with back and heart problems, people with pre-existing medical conditions, infants, and senior citizens.

Additional Information

It's recommended to wear light clothes along with comfortable shoes.

Avoid eating 2-3 hours before the safari trip to avoid any sickness during dune bashing.

Pick-up and drop-off are limited to specific areas in Dubai.

Pick-up timing: 1pm (valid till 28 February, 2026).

This tour can accommodate a maximum of 6 people in 1 group.

Some entertainment shows may not be available during national holidays and Islamic occasions.

Guests who wish to opt for sandboarding must inform the operator at the beginning of the tour during hotel pickup.

The buggy provided for the dune buggy experience can accommodate up to 2 people. Guests who wish to have separate buggies to themselves must make separate reservations for each buggy.
