Chicago Dinner Cruise

The 4 rating I gave you is actually misleading. The experience was a 4, but you started out at 3 due to the backdrop and boat being perfect... which was little to no-doing on your service end. The wait staff was ok, not good, not great. Ok. The food was below average, felt like we were being fed wedding buffet food that was cooked half-assed and barely seasoned. Cheesecake was great, but I'm guessing that they were purchased, not baked by your company. Regarding the sound/entertainment, this was embarrassing. First, you implied an architectural tour of the river... not one thing was mentioned, this was actually a bit of fraud in my opinion, you literally had 0 entertainment. It was us just floating down the river and coming back. Cool, but not what you marketed... almost asked for my money back on that. Then there was the sound, Jesus Christ... what a horrible, distorted, muffled, ridiculous experience you offer. I am an audio engineer and multimedia professional, and it was laughable how bad this was. Without the amazing backdrop and boat, you'd get a 1 star. The ambiance and vibe is obviously what's carrying your business, but charging essentially 200+ a person, to me, deserves a better experience on your end.

The crew and servers very friendly. Our host could have checked on us. The second half only saw him once. He still did a great job and I gave a 20 tip to him. The food was delicious, everything was clean and tiddy. One thing caught my eye though. I had called about dress code. My wife dress, me suit and tie. Our daughter jeans and a blouse at least. I was told on the phone dress smart casual. One male guest had a sleeveless tank undershirt. So aside from seeing his arm pits it truly was an amazing experience. I didn't mention to the crew. It wasn't the end of the world. I'm sure we will return for another dinner cruise. Over all great value for a wonderful evening. The fuzeball table was a great surprise. The DJ was very friendly and engaging. The crowd like myself a bunch of sitters not dancing. We danced one slow song though. My wife had a tough time dancing with the boat motion. She lovesto dance normally. Thank you very much. I will highly recommend to all my friends to try.

I have wanted to do this cruise since December 2022. Odyssey Dinner Cruise offers a combination of amazing experiences for the solo, paired, or group travelers. From start to finish, the respect and courtesy are refreshingly exceptional. Thank you! Cruising along stretches of the Chicago River while viewing the city's impeccable architecture and ongoing construction projects makes it a high spirited trip. The cuisine and the time of serving the sumptuous food and beverages are well-organized. The musical selections and the deejay makes you groove and stomp your feet. I met new folks and had a wonderful exchange with them. Cruising with Odyssey is cruising in excellence and it is reasonably priced.

The food, views, drinks and music. I have to say that almost all servers didn't appear to be enjoying their job. Very few smiles, not much conversation. Our server came right away to take our order when we wanted to start with a cocktail first. He then proceeded to go to two other tables before taking our drink order. I understand they have a schedule to stay on, but it took forever to get a drink after we told him we didn't want our food right then. It's still a wonderful cruise to take while visiting Chicago. This was our 3rd or 4th time to go. The views are amazing. Highly recommend! Because we have been and have taken pictures in the past, I did not take pictures this time.

Our evening on the Odyssey Chicago River Architecture Dinner Cruise was unforgettable. The views of Chicago’s iconic skyline and historic buildings were breathtaking, and the narration made the city’s architecture come alive. The staff was genuinely warm and attentive, the meal was delicious, and the atmosphere on board felt both elegant and relaxed. Watching the city lights reflect on the river while enjoying dinner with friends was a perfect experience. I would gladly recommend this cruise to anyone looking for a memorable way to experience Chicago.
