Getting started

Arrive at Wlad Lblad in Youssoufia and check in for your Moroccan home cooking class. You join a group of up to eight guests and are introduced to Ibrahim and his cooks in the restaurant kitchen. After a brief outline of the two-hour plan, you wash up, tie on an apron, and get set at your cooking station.

Step into the kitchen of a working restaurant in Youssoufia and learn Moroccan home cooking with Ibrahim and his cooks guiding you. Over two hours, you prepare a complete meal from start to finish, then move into the dining room to eat what you have cooked.

• Moroccan home cooking is the focus, so you work hands-on with the tagine, the salads that come before it, and the bread that rounds out the table. Ibrahim and his team show you how spices are layered for authentic flavor as you build each component.
• All ingredients and equipment are provided for you, so you can focus on the cooking techniques rather than shopping or prep. Guidance is available in Arabic, Darija, French, or English, which helps you follow each step clearly.
• Once the cooking is done, you sit down to a shared meal of the dishes you cook, eaten in the dining room just like a local guest at Wlad Lblad. Mint tea and drinking water are included with your meal so you can relax and enjoy what you have prepared.
• Before you leave, a souvenir photo captures you in action in the Wlad Lblad kitchen or with the finished tagine, the salads that come before it, and the bread on the table. Transport to and from the restaurant, accommodation, spirits, and gratuities are not included.
