My stay at Gornergrat made a huge impression on me. The views were incredible—the panorama of the Alps, including the majestic Matterhorn, was breathtaking. The mountain air made it possible to truly relax and enjoy nature, and yes, I found an ibex! I had the pleasure of trying Valais Platter and a glass of local wine. It was such a perfect combination—alpine views, meat, and wine—that I cried. For moments like these, I'll be back again and again.

Very nice to visit the, mountain you can see every thing Very well this way. The train ride was also very nice, and comfortable. Zermatt is a nice place to be. We willen be back to visit this place. Taking the cogwheel train to the top of the Gornergrat certainly was a highlight of our trip. Beautiful scenery throughout, especially at the top!

Once in Zermatt, skip the lines and board the Gornergrat Railway with priority access. Find the perfect seat and enjoy the ride on the world’s first fully electrified cog railway, as it winds through incredible alpine scenery. The Matterhorn will greet you as you ascend, offering views that grow more beautiful with every turn.

At the Gornergrat summit, step onto the year-round viewing platform and take in a panorama of 29 peaks soaring above 4,000 meters, including the iconic Dufourspitze and the Dom. Accessibility

The shuttle and stations offer partial wheelchair accessibility, while the Gornergrat summit and cogwheel train are fully wheelchair accessible.

No shuttle ticket is needed with the General Abonnement or Swiss Travel Pass.

Half-Fare Card holders and children aged 6 to 15 enjoy a 50% discount on the shuttle.

Children under 6 and Junior Card holders travel free without a ticket.

Small dogs (up to 30 cm) travel free in a pet container; larger dogs require a half-price ticket.

Shuttle passes are valid for 30 days but must align with your Matterhorn cable car trip date.

Shuttle tickets include a round trip and can be used within 30 days of the selected date.

Your ticket will be emailed to you instantly.
