Visiting the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. From the moment I entered, I was surrounded by centuries of history, art, and extraordinary beauty. Every corridor, painting, and architectural detail reflected the incredible talent and dedication of the artists who created these masterpieces. The Sistine Chapel was truly the highlight of my visit. Standing beneath Michelangelo’s magnificent ceiling and seeing The Creation of Adam in person was an incredibly moving experience. No photograph or video can fully capture the atmosphere, scale, and emotional impact of this remarkable place. It is not simply a work of art; it is a masterpiece that makes you appreciate the power of human creativity and imagination. The Vatican Museums are a must-see destination for anyone visiting Rome, whether you are passionate about art, history, architecture, or culture. I highly recommend taking your time, looking closely at the details, and allowing yourself to enjoy every moment. This is a place that stays in your memory long after you leave. Truly breathtaking, inspiring, and worth every second of the visit!

Mi visita a los Museos Vaticanos y la Capilla Sixtina Sencillamente inolvidable! Desde que cruzas los arcos de entrada sabes que estás por vivir algo fuera de este mundo. Caminar por las galerías rodeado de esculturas clásicas, mapas renacentistas y las deslumbrantes Estancias de Rafael te deja sin aliento a cada paso... la cantidad de arte e historia comprimida en cada pasillo es astronómica. Pero el momento cumbre ocurre al entrar a la Capilla Sixtina. El silencio que se respira en la sala impone respeto inmediato. Levantar la mirada y contemplar La Creación de Adán y El Juicio Final de Miguel Ángel en persona te pone la piel de gallina; ningún libro ni fotografía le hace justicia al nivel de detalle y dramatismo de los colores en vivo. Aunque suele haber bastante gente y hay que caminar bastante, vale absolutamente cada minuto y cada segundo de la espera. Sin duda, una de las mejores experiencias de mi vida y un imperdible total si visitas Roma.

Visiting the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel was an unforgettable experience. The entire visit was incredibly well organised, and the skip-the-line access made the experience much easier, especially with the large crowds. The museums are filled with breathtaking artwork, beautiful architecture, fascinating history and incredible details at every turn. The Sistine Chapel was definitely the highlight and seeing Michelangelo’s work in person was truly amazing. Our Headout booking process was simple and convenient, and the instructions provided were clear and easy to follow. We were able to enjoy the visit without worrying about tickets or long queues. Overall, this was one of the highlights of our Rome trip, and I would definitely recommend visiting the Vatican Museums and booking through Headout.

Weszliśmy rzeczywiście szybko i bez kolejki. Ale ta opcja jest dla tych, którzy świadomie chcą zapłacić dwa razy tyle, ile kosztuje bilet na oficjalnej stronie Watykanu. Należy sprawdzić jaka jest strona Watykanu, bo ta pokazała mi się również jako vaticanmusei. Jeśli odpowiednio wcześnie zaplanuje się wejście do muzeów, niestety tego nie zrobiłem i wkopałem się w ten koszt, to można zapłacić dużo mniej. Druga sprawa, jeśli ktoś jest przyzwyczajony do Włochów, to spóźnienie przewodników o pół godziny nie powinno stanowić problemu. Wejście mieliśmy na 8 rano, w oficjalnym mailu była informacja aby być 15 minut wcześniej, więc się spieszyliśmy, udało nam się przyjść nawet 7.40. Przewodnicy wyszli z bramy grubo po 8.15

The skip the que is excellent at this time of year, ie. Arrived on the 10th October in rome, I had previously before arrival discovered the Headout app. Found my interest! And booked accordingly! Looking at the general ques, I was delighted, in fact, I made a comment just before the Sistine Chapel! The longest wait was infact to the ladies toilets! Don't be shy in talking your Camera out in the Vatican museum! Its the Sistine Chapel where you will be strictly ordered to turn your Camera off! And its understandable! Adhere to the standard! And your experience will be exceptional! Remember, your walking on the stones of Popes, And looking at artifacts of the Troy era. Thats BC.

Easy access and skipping the line. It was my first time with Headout and my first time visiting the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel and oh boy it did not disappoint. I was completely in awe! Being able to see in person and experience the beauty and grandeur of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel was a great privilege, a lifetime opportunity to appreciate and to cherish. Given the time and resources, I will go through the whole experience again and make sure to spend more time inside the Sistine Chapel!!!

Guide qui vérifie bien si tout le monde suit et tout le monde est présent, c'est très plaisant malgré le monde aux alentours du Vatican. Très appréciable. Une fois à l'entrée le guide nous laisse nous débrouiller et on se fait le cheminement tout seul, on peut visiter dans l'ordre qu'on souhaite. Beaucoup de monde, il faut pas avoir peur de la foule durant la visite du musée. Mais très belle expérience !

What's not allowed

Vatican Museums

Photography and the use of mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the Sistine Chapel.

Luggage and/or large bags are not allowed inside the venue. You may drop off your bags with the free cloakroom service.

Pets and other small animals are not allowed in the venue, except for guide dogs.

It is recommended to cover tattoos and any other similarly visible distinctive personal signs.

Wheelchairs are available for rent in the lobby.

Additional information

Most museums are generally closed on Mondays, except for Colosseum (booking required), Mercati di Traiano, Musei Capitolini, and Museo dell’Ara Pacis.

Almost all the museums are closed on 25 Dec, 1 Jan, and 1 May.

Vatican Museums

Please find your host at the meeting point specified on the voucher, who will assist you in the check-in process. Do not head to the entrance of the Vatican Museum directly.

Please note the chosen time must be respected and latecomers will not be accommodated.

Although it is not included in these tickets, access to St. Peter's Basilica is free. However, there could be a waiting line during peak season.

Comfortable shoes are recommended.

Please be dressed appropriately. Sleeveless blouses, miniskirts, shorts, and hats are not permitted. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for all guests.

Roma Pass

The pass must be activated on the first journey on public transport even if it has already been activated at the first entrance to a museum.

At the national museums and archaeological sites (Colosseum included) on the first Sunday of the month, admission is free for all.

Your voucher will be emailed to you instantly.

Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the each of the ticket redemption points.

Please arrive at the venue 15 minutes before the scheduled time of your tour to avoid any delays.
