Had a great afternoon with the park meeting all my expectations. The bridge was fairly stable with very little motion. People from all walks of life were crossing and enjoying the views. A nice cold refreshment at the end of my visit made it a great adventure. Would recommend for all! -Mark

We were excited to just walk across the capilano bridge, but were extremely surprised about the magnitude of the entire park. The beauty of it all. The work involved in the assembly of all of the bridges that gave us exceptional views of those majestic trees. We appreciated all the informative boards along these trails. At this time of the year, there were less people, so no waiting times and also I must say that there were no bugs, which was a bonus. I

The experience is excellent even though we need to line up to get in the bridge. Capilano bridge and the tree top experience is great! We all love it. The purchase process is also easy, only there is a bit wait to get the tickets instead of instantly. Overall, good 👍🏻

Walk high above Vancouver’s Capilano River with access to the park’s iconic suspension bridge, treetop walkways, and cliffside paths.

Getting started

Present your ticket at the main entrance for immediate access, no need to queue for ticket collection. After a quick security check, you’re free to explore the park’s trails and attractions at your own pace.

What to expect

Established in 1889, Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is one of Vancouver’s oldest and most popular outdoor attractions, known for its 137-metre-long bridge suspended 70 metres above the Capilano River.

Features

Capilano Suspension Bridge: Cross the 137-metre-long suspension bridge, suspended 70 metres above the Capilano River, and take in views of the surrounding rainforest and canyon.

Treetops Adventure: Explore seven suspension bridges attached to old-growth Douglas-fir trees, reaching up to 33 meters above the forest floor.

Cliffwalk: Follow a series of narrow bridges, stairs, and platforms along a granite cliffside overlooking the Capilano River.

Rainforest trails: Stroll through lush, oxygen-rich forest paths, surrounded by ancient trees and interpretive signs about local ecology.

Educational exhibits: Learn about the region’s Indigenous heritage and natural history through totem poles and interactive displays.

What to bring

Pack comfortable walking shoes. You’ll be exploring elevated walkways, forest paths, and narrow bridges.

Dressing for the weather is key too, as the rainforest can get cool or rainy.

Don’t forget to carry a valid photo ID with you.

What’s not allowed

Smoking and e-cigarettes aren’t permitted anywhere in the park.

Large bags and suitcases need to stay behind for safety reasons.

Pets can’t enter, except for registered service animals.

Alcohol, drugs, and any form of intoxication are strictly prohibited.

Accessibility

Because the experience includes suspension bridges, high walkways, and narrow pathways, the park isn’t suitable for visitors with limited mobility, or those using wheelchairs or strollers.

Additional information

Children must stay with a person aged 17 or older at all times.

The suspension bridge does sway, which may be uncomfortable if you’re afraid of heights. You can still enjoy the park’s trails, exhibits, and peaceful rainforest surroundings.
