Our driver, Syafar, was friendly and very helpful throughout the visit. He brought us close to the entrances and was there waiting when we finished. I would happily choose him again and would recommend his service. The temple tour was engaging, and the guide had a great sense of humor. The ballet performance was beautiful as well. If possible, I suggest choosing a class above first class because the seating is assigned and the front position gives a much clearer view, including the temples. We were disappointed that our temple-view restaurant reservation was not available and we were taken elsewhere, although Syafar kindly showed us the temple view after the show.

Alongside Borobudur, Prambanan is one of Indonesia's major attractions. Booking the visit online in advance is a sensible choice.

Carry a printed or digital ticket with a scannable QR code for entry.

Drones are not permitted inside the temple complex.
Tripods, monopods, gimbals, and large telephoto lenses require prior written approval.
Outside food, alcohol, and smoking are not allowed within the temple grounds.

Wheelchairs can access the main pathways and exterior viewing areas, but not the inner temple chambers.
An electric shuttle is available between the entrance, main plaza, and Sewu Temple for visitors with mobility needs.

Prambanan Temple is open daily from 6:30am to 5pm, with last entry at 4:30pm.
Children aged 3 years and above require an admission ticket. Children under 3 years enter free.
The inner Trimurti Courtyard is closed every Monday, and the central temples cannot be accessed on that day.
Lockers are available near the main entrance but may be limited during peak visiting hours.
