Weather aside (cool and rainy) this was a great day out from Edinburgh. Carys, our guide, was wonderful. She shared a lot of interesting historical information but also left us in peace to enjoy the Scottish tunes she played and the scenery (or a snooze). Tour was very well organized. Alnwick Castle is super impressive as was the town itself. Lindisfane is a charming wee village but be prepared for quite a walk if you want to go to the castle. We didn't have enough time so enjoyed the priory and a coffee in one of the cafes. I highly recommend this tour and Timberbush.

In the afternoon, head to the main highlight of the show which is Alnwick Castle. Learn about the popular films and TV shows that have been filmed at this magnificent castle, and feel like a star yourself. Being a favourite spot for the world of cinema, from the famous Harry Potter films and Downton Abbey to the action-packed Transformers: The Last Knight, the castle holds many more mysteries than you'd think!
