Getting started

Arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled time to complete registration, fit your life jacket, and meet your expert guide. After you sign the Liability Release & Safety Waiver, you will receive a detailed safety briefing. Once the practical jet ski demonstration is complete and everyone is comfortable with the controls, you will head out onto the Brisbane River.

• Glide beneath the iconic Story Bridge and take in Brisbane's skyline and landmarks from water level, with views that include the Queensland Maritime Museum and the surrounding riverfront. There is flexibility built in for short photo stops or slower sections so you can appreciate the scenery and city perspectives.
• Your expert guide leads the route, explains how to handle the jet ski confidently, and shares insights into the cultural and historical significance of the Brisbane River as you ride. Commentary also highlights local wildlife you may spot, such as cormorants, pelicans, rays, and dolphins, depending on conditions.
• A thorough safety briefing and practical jet ski demonstration at the outset shows you how to operate the controls, manage speed, and follow safe spacing on the water. This step-by-step run-through helps you feel prepared before you leave the dock.
• A mandatory life jacket is provided for each participant, and it must be worn at all times on the water. If you arrive without protection from the sun, sunscreen is available on-site, and if you do not bring your own drink, bottled water can be provided so you can stay hydrated during the experience.
