Spend your time inside the Roman city of Gerasa, walking between ceremonial gates, temples, a theater, and the colonnaded main street. The site is mostly exposed, with uneven paving and few shaded rest points, so wear shoes with grip and carry sun protection. The most efficient route runs south to north, beginning at Hadrian’s Arch and ending at the Temple of Artemis. A local guide can be added if you want historical context beyond the monument signs.

Took my mum to Jerash and honestly, it felt like we time-traveled a bit. Our driver, Firas, chatted with us about random local stuff (ask him about the olive trees!). Car was squeaky clean and aircon was a LIFE saver. Jerash wasn’t crowded at all, maybe cause it’s off-season? The site is huuuuge, wear good shoes. Guide was a bit hard to understand sometimes but super friendly. We took so many pics our phones died. Def worth the early wake-up.

Me and my partner did this tour last weekend. The car smelled like mint (lol, no idea why but not mad about it). Drive was smooth, but traffic getting out of Amman was slow. Jerash itself is STUNNING, but our guide seemed to rush through some bits (maybe cause it was windy and cold?). Still, learned a lot. FYI, the bathrooms near the entrance are… not great. Bring tissues!

So, I went solo and tbh felt a bit lost at first. My driver, Hisham, was suuuper quiet. Got to Jerash okay. The ruins are EPIC but didn’t really get much info as the guide was juggling like 3 groups at once. Wish it was more personal. Still, cool to see the old city and the archways. If ur a history nerd, you’ll vibe here.

Absolutely LOVED this tour! Our guide was hilarious and knew all the good photo spots. We were a group of 4 friends and honestly, we just had a blast. Weather was sunny (yay), not too hot. The car had bottled water and mints. I wish we had a bit more time to wander, but overall—SO fun. Don’t skip the hippodrome.

Went with the family, 2 teens who were NOT excited at first but ended up loving the chariot arena stories. Driver (Ziad) was prompt and gave us a quick Arabic lesson on the way. Guide was knowledgeable, though sometimes hard to hear when big groups passed. Bring snacks, not much food inside.
