Took my niece here since she’s obsessed with polar bears, and honestly, I think I was even more hyped than her! The park is spread out and suuuper pretty in the snow – bring a hat, my ears were ice blocks by the end. Our guide, Sari, was full of fun facts (did you know owls can spin their heads almost all the way?!) and was patient when we kept stopping for photos. It wasn’t busy at all, which was awesome. The wolves were a bit shy but the brown bear was totally showing off. Lunch was hearty, Finnish-style, nothing fancy but hit the spot. Only complaint: the gift shop could use more animal plushies, my niece wanted a fox and they were out.

We went as a family of 4 (kids 10 & 12) and everyone had a good time. The park layout is easy enough to walk but some paths a bit icy, so maybe bring shoe spikes if you have ‘em. Loved the wolverines – never seen one before. Staff mostly friendly, though the guy at the entrance seemed a bit distracted. We got lucky with blue skies and no wind. Not too crowded midweek, which was nice. Wish there was a bit more info on some animals, but our guide Eva filled the gaps.

I came solo, just looking for something chill to do outside Rovaniemi and honestly, this park was such a surprise. It’s quiet and feels almost like a forest walk with animals popping out along the way. Saw a lynx snoozing in the sun, SO CUTE. The highlight was definitely the polar bear, who was basically posing for us. The guide answered a ton of my random questions (thanks for not getting annoyed, haha). Not a huge fan of the cafeteria food (it’s very basic), but the hot chocolate was delish. Spent about 3 hours wandering and never got bored. Def worth a visit if you’re into wildlife.

Honestly, the animals were cool but the park felt a bit tired? Some enclosures are looking old. Our guide tried hard, and she did have some good stories, but it felt a bit rushed at times. Maybe there were too many people in our group, idk. Still, seeing a snowy owl up close was EPIC. Would recommend for families but if you’ve done a lot of zoos, this might not WOW you.

We visited with my parents and little brother (he’s 7) and had a magical day. The snow was falling softly, so the whole place looked like a fairytale. Our guide, Olli, was great with kids – he made animal noises and had my brother giggling the whole time. The animals all looked healthy and happy. The foxes were running around like crazy! Hot soup for lunch warmed us up. Don’t forget gloves, your hands WILL freeze if you’re snapping pics all day.
