Booked the Thang Long Water Puppet Show through Headout during our Hanoi family trip and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the evening. The performance itself was colorful, cultural, and surprisingly engaging for both adults and kids. My 5-year-old was completely captivated by the live music, traditional puppetry, and storytelling despite not understanding the language. The show is around 50 minutes, which felt perfect for families. I’d recommend arriving 20-30 minutes early for better seating and combining it with a walk around Hoan Kiem Lake afterward. A fantastic show that everyone should see at least once in their lifetime. The big problem is the tourists who have absolutely no respect for the performers. They stand up, change seats, talk loudly, take photos with their arms raised… it’s frankly shameful. The audio guide is helpful for understanding the show, but it could be improved: it doesn’t stay on your ear very well, and the explanations are a bit hard to understand at times. Maybe the ideal solution would be to have English subtitles displayed directly in the theater?

Very nice performance. Music coupled with puppet show offered a quite art form, and the ambience was near perfect. Just one input- leg space btw rows is extremely less. People who are above 5'10'' height cannot even sit properly. You may pls consider increasing the space a bit. Thanks

Amazing show. Absolutely recommend it both for adults and kids if you're in Hanoi. It was very straightforward to the get the tickets, which in our case we got directly from the agency which is just a couple of minutes from the theatre.

Very nice show, interesting tradition, very good value for money. Easy to reach if you are in Old Quarter. Anywhere you sit is fine, the view is very good in all the theatre, it's advisable to get translation headphones, you can buy them right there before you enter and go to your seat
