The atmosphere was something we had never seen, neither in France nor on other trips.. It's not the show itself that is extraordinary.. We learned a few things with the audio guide, which in our opinion was necessary to better understand the meaning of this show.

The water puppets were amazing, although the person we were supposed to collect our tickets from was late. The instructions given to us by the website said we were to look for someone in a blue shirt to get our tickets from, but they were wearing black so we had a hard time finding them.

The live music and the puppeteers' artistry, together with the audio guide, made for a great experience. We booked VIP seats and can only recommend doing so, as the view is truly fantastic. At 50 minutes, the show is the perfect length. For us, an absolute must when visiting Hanoi.

The show was so entertaining - It's been one of our highlights in Hanoi. I'm glad I opted for the audio translation as it helped me understand the story. My only complaint (and it's a minor one) was that the seats are not very comfortable.
