    What our guests say

    Feb 2026
Just got back from the Oriental Sails cruise and honestly, still dreaming about the views. The limestone cliffs are something else. Our guide, Bin, had the best stories—he kept us laughing the whole trip. We did kayaking (didn’t fall in, yay!), and the water was so glassy in the morning. Meals were fresh and there was SO much food, def try the seafood if you can. Our cabin was cozy, with those old-world wooden touches but the bathroom could use a little upgrade tbh. WiFi was spotty but it kinda made us talk to each other more? Nighttime on the deck is magical. Only weird thing: you gotta pay cash for drinks, so bring some VND. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Took this trip solo, little nervous but the crew made me feel right at home. Alex is such a legend—he remembered everyone’s names! We did a cooking demo (spring rolls = not as easy as they look), and sunset on the deck was EPIC. Met some fun people from Australia & Germany. Cabin was basic but had a window I could watch the bay from. Bring a book, there’s downtime between stops. Oh, and don’t expect five star bathrooms, but it’s all part of the vibe.

Family of 4 (kids 7 and 10) and everyone had a blast! The crew was so sweet to my kids, even let them try steering the boat for a sec (supervised, don’t worry). Meals had veggie options which was a big win for us. We did squid fishing at night, didn’t catch a thing but it was hilarious. Cabins are small but clean. Bring a jumper—it gets chilly on deck at night! Would def recommend for families.

This cruise was my birthday treat and it was PERFECT. The staff brought me a tiny cake and sang, so sweet! Kayaking around the bay was peaceful, and the limestone islands look unreal. Shared a cabin with my sister—beds were comfy, but bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper (boats can be noisy at night). Wouldn’t change a thing.

Did the overnight cruise with Oriental Sails, and it was the highlight of our Vietnam trip. Alex the guide is a star—so patient and funny. Cooking class was fun, and the food on board is FRESH. We watched the sunrise with coffee on the deck…unreal. Room wasn’t fancy but totally fine. Would recommend booking direct with them.
