I really enjoyed the Encore Melaka live show. It was really amazing! The state design, the special effects and the technology are incredible. Especially the 360-degree rotating auditorium. And also the beautiful story captures the Melaka's history and culture. A must-see when you are in Melaka.

Nice cozy atmosphere, love the performances especially the dancers in the nyonya attire. Very graceful. By the way the staff are very courteous. Keep it up!

The atmosphere immersed me from the start. Every performance was captivating, but the waterfall scene truly took my breath away. A masterpiece I’ll never forget.

My honest review of Encore Melaka. As someone who genuinely enjoys theatre, I don't mind paying for a ticket when the experience is worth it. For me, a great production is not just about the performance but also about how the story connects with the audience. So this review is based on the storyline, the performance, and the overall experience. Let me start with what impressed me the most the theatre itself. Encore Melaka is absolutely breathtaking. The 360-degree rotating auditorium is an attraction on its own. The moment it starts moving and reveals different scenes, you can't help but be amazed. It is innovative, immersive, and unlike any conventional theatre experience. The scale, technology, and visual effects are truly world-class. The stage design and production quality are outstanding. Every scene is beautifully crafted, and the transitions are generally smooth. There were just a few moments where the stage felt a little empty during scene changes, creating brief pauses that felt slightly awkward. But honestly, those moments were minor compared to the overall spectacle. Now, coming to the show itself. Although there was a disclaimer that the performance is not about war but rather about the people, history, and spirit of Melaka, I think I went in with different expectations. That's entirely on me. I tend to enjoy productions that are based on true stories with strong emotional journeys, personal struggles, and powerful character development. The performance was good, and the cast clearly put in tremendous effort. The choreography, visuals, costumes, and coordination were impressive. However, emotionally, it didn't resonate with me as deeply as I had hoped. It was enjoyable, but I wasn't fully drawn into the story or emotionally attached to the characters. Perhaps in the future, I would enjoy productions where actors deliver more live dialogue directly on stage. For me, hearing emotions expressed through the actors' own voices creates a stronger connection and makes the experience feel even more authentic. That being said, not every theatre production needs to make me cry or leave me emotionally overwhelmed to be considered good. Encore Melaka succeeds in many other ways. It is visually stunning, technically brilliant, culturally rich, and definitely worth experiencing at least once. Did it become one of my all-time favourite theatre productions? Probably not. Did I regret watching it? Absolutely not. A big applause to the entire team behind Encore Melaka for creating something so unique and ambitious. Even though it didn't completely capture my heart, I can fully appreciate the creativity, effort, and vision that went into making it such a remarkable experience.

I heard about this performance from a friend and decided to watch it. The theatre is very modern, with excellent facilities, and is definitely worth a visit. There were two shows that day, and I attended one of them. The actors performed with great dedication and professionalism. However, the middle part of the show felt a little slow at times. One interesting feature was the revolving stage, which added a unique touch to the production. Parking was convenient, and the overall experience was enjoyable. I hope the team continues their good work, and I look forward to seeing more productions with new scripts in the future.

The performance was very slow, perhaps this is a difference in 'artistic impression'. The show feels dragged out and I lost focus while waiting for the next scene. It was frankly forgettable. One thing I did remember was seeing the years go by the screen displayed each and every year. Watching that change was painful, we got the gist and it can move on faster. Largely the whole show felt slow and it could improve. The venue and staging are impressive though so kudos there. Staff members are very helpful too although I am not sure if they should be using a green laser light to point at seats, risking them pointing into another visitor's eyes.

The storyline could be better, if this is about Melaka I don't think I walk away getting th e experience of it. The choreography seems lazy and too easy for a stage like this. It's a waste to put this show in this awesome stage

The opening dance of the nyonya was colourful and interesting. However the entire content of the show was disappointing and can be improved by having better content and performance and dances more relevant to the title.
