Day Trips from Meteora

Overall, this tour offers excellent value for money! I highly recommend choosing the option with lunch included. The only downside is that on the way back, the bus stops at a rest area where you have no other dining options, and the food there is quite expensive. If you decide not to eat there, you’ll arrive back in Athens after 9:00 PM. Other than that, everything was great. The tour guide was excellent, and the driver was very professional. Most of the stops gave us enough time to explore, although I felt the last photo stop could have been a little longer.

We went on the English speaking tour and had Vaso as our guide. She was extremely knowledgeable about the monasteries the local area and geology which was an added bonus. Inside the chapels, is the most beautiful artwork and intricate carvings I have ever seen. For me, my favourite places were St Barbara and St Stephan. Everywhere you look there is so much history and so much work that has gone into building these sanctuaries. I 100% recommend this tour. Is it a long day? Yes it is. Is it worth it? 1000% yes. Book the tour, you will not be disappointed.

The tour was organized almost perfectly; huge compliments to our guide, Adria, for her kindness, professionalism, and knowledge. Thanks also to the driver for his professionalism. The meteor showers are impressive and not to be missed.

The tour guide was great, the restaurant we chose was top-notch, the monasteries were beautiful, and we had plenty of time; skirts for women are available there.
