I've also never been in a gondola during a thunderstorm while it was stopped. But the breathtaking panorama, with so many 4,000-meter peaks and several glaciers, is truly impressive. It's definitely worth it.

We booked a tour because we were afraid that it would be difficult to navigate on our own. The tour was cancelled, so we bought the cable car tickets online. How fortunate for us that the tour was cancelled! The cable car was so easy to use, and we saved a lot of money by booking ourselves. We were able to spend the day at our leisure, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would highly recommend booking this on your trip to Zermatt.

This train, which departs from the center of the village of Zermatt and takes you 1,500 meters higher as it climbs incredible inclines through magnificent scenery, is a marvel. The greatest reward awaits at the top, in a cirque of glaciers and peaks over 4,000 meters high, including the famous Matterhorn—the most impressive mountain in the Alps. It’s truly spectacular!

In the end, everything went well, but when you buy it, it says the hours are from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. But in the summer, the hours start at 5:50 AM, and we weren't sure if we would get in with Headout. But it did let us in, and everything was perfectly fine. We were able to do the mountain we wanted and saved about 10 euros compared to the official price.

The trip up to the Gornergrat platform on the Glacier Express is already an exceptional and magnificent journey. Unfortunately, the Asians—who think they can do whatever they want, and they’re the only ones who behave this way—stand right in front of the windows wherever they go, unaware that they aren’t the only ones admiring the scenery. Regardless of the number of peaks over 4,000 meters, only one is truly unique and stands out from the rest to take first place among all the peaks in the Alps (the Matterhorn). That’s my opinion, as someone who lives in Savoie, surrounded by mountains.
