We were treated to a wonderful tour today. Our guide was both highly knowledgeable and very clear in her explanations, and she helped us appreciate the fascination that this place exudes. I was particularly fascinated by her explanation of the cleverly designed and implemented acoustics from the very beginning of the theater’s construction, as well as the adjustable stage floor in the orchestra pit, which adapts to the specific performance and the orchestra’s lineup. Thank you for the wonderful insights we were granted.

It was a very interesting and impressive tour. It really is an incredibly amazing and beautiful building. A tour is definitely worth it. The lady who showed us around and explained everything was completely dedicated to her work. She knew how to share her knowledge of the Semperoper with us in a humorous and very engaging way. All our questions were answered, and you could tell she was putting her heart and soul into it. Thank you very much for that.

Ordering the tickets and accessing them on my phone went smoothly. The tour was interesting, with plenty of details, but not so much that it became overwhelming. The tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and humorous. The building was absolutely impressive. There should have been some extra time for taking photos in the great hall. Highly recommended!

The tour was both informative and entertaining, and is ideal for people who like to explore on their own. The house is absolutely stunning, and our two children (ages 19 and 21) really enjoyed it too. Be sure to buy a photo pass. My husband took some great pictures with all his cameras.

Hello, I really liked the tour guide. He works as a volunteer, but he was one of the architects commissioned to rebuild the Semperoper. That’s why his stories and detailed explanations were so fascinating and entertaining.

The tour on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 12:15 p.m., started right on time and was very interesting! We learned a lot about the reconstruction, the building materials, and the interior design of the Semperoper!

  • Panometer Dresden

Panometer Dresden turns an old gas tank into a breathtaking 360° art experience. Its star attraction, AMAZONIA, plunges you into the heart of the rainforest, where towering trees, hidden creatures, and shifting daylight surround you. Artist Yadegar Asisi, after multiple Amazon visits, crafted this hyper-realistic panorama—106m wide and 27m high—using thousands of sketches and photos. Paired with Eric Babak’s immersive soundscape and dynamic lighting, it brings the jungle to life, letting you explore the Amazon without leaving Dresden.

    Semperoper Tour

Step inside Dresden’s Semperoper as your guide leads you through marble-floored hallways, past chandeliers that cast a golden glow on hand-painted ceilings. In the grand auditorium, see plush red velvet seats facing an ornate proscenium, where operas by Wagner once premiered. Learn about its 19th-century Neo-Renaissance design, wartime destruction, and stunning post-war restoration.
