Learning about the history of this beautiful place was amazing! We opted not to use the headphones, as we felt they were a bit cumbersome and left my spouse and I feeling disconnected from one another. It was wonderful to discover the residence where Mary, Queen of Scots, once lived. The ruined abbey and the beautiful gardens surrounding this palace are steeped in so much history—it’s hard to imagine! It’s a must-see if you’re visiting Edinburgh.

Large bags, rucksacks, and suitcases (30L or over) are not allowed inside for security reasons.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

Keep your camera tucked away – photography is strictly not allowed inside the State Apartments.
