Chimelong Ocean Kingdom officially opened on March 29, 2014 and was developed by Chimelong Group. The park combines marine-animal exhibits, large-scale rides, and live entertainment across eight themed areas.

The park's 5D Castle Theatre and Ocean Luminous Grand Parade have received recognition from the Themed Entertainment Association, while its fireworks spectacular has also received an IAAPA award.

Ocean Wonders is centred around a huge marine aquarium featuring whale sharks, manta rays, and other aquatic species, making it one of the park's key wildlife attractions.

Chimelong Ocean Kingdom combines a marine park with a theme park, so visitors can move from aquarium habitats and animal exhibits to roller coasters, family rides, shows, and nighttime entertainment within the same ticketed attraction.
