What to bring

• Valid ID: Bring your original physical passport or national ID, as advance real-name booking is mandatory and IDs are scanned directly at the turnstiles.

• Student ID: If you booked a discounted student option, bring your valid physical student ID for verification at the entrance gates.

• Footwear: Wear comfortable walking shoes, as the base spans hundreds of hectares and requires extensive walking.

What's not allowed

• Animal contact: Direct physical contact with the giant pandas or red pandas is strictly prohibited across the facility.

• Disturbing animals: Sudden movements, loud noises, and camera flashes are not allowed, especially in the barrier-free red panda enclosures.

Accessibility

• Wheelchair and stroller access: The base has paved pathways suitable for strollers and wheelchairs, though the sprawling size requires significant travel.

Additional information

• Best viewing times: Arrive between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM when pandas are most active for their morning feeding before they sleep for the day.

• Weather policy: When ambient temperatures exceed 26°C (79°F), pandas are moved into indoor air-conditioned enclosures to prevent heatstroke.

• Internal transport: An internal electric shuttle bus is available to help visitors navigate the massive distances between the South and West Parks.
