What to bring

Carry a printed or digital ticket with a scannable QR code for entry.

Foreign visitors should carry a passport or a copy for identification, if requested.

Wear clothing that covers your shoulders and knees. Free sarongs are available at the entrance.

What's not allowed

Drones are not permitted inside the temple complex.

Tripods, monopods, gimbals, and large telephoto lenses require prior written approval.

Outside food, alcohol, and smoking are not allowed within the temple grounds.

Accessibility

Wheelchairs can access the main pathways and exterior viewing areas, but not the inner temple chambers.

An electric shuttle is available between the entrance, main plaza, and Sewu Temple for visitors with mobility needs.

Accessible restrooms are available near the main entrance.

Additional information

Prambanan Temple is open daily from 6:30am to 5pm, with last entry at 4:30pm.

Children aged 3 years and above require an admission ticket. Children under 3 years enter free.

The inner Trimurti Courtyard is closed every Monday, and the central temples cannot be accessed on that day.

Lockers are available near the main entrance but may be limited during peak visiting hours.

Entry to Ratu Boko is included only with the Prambanan Temple & Ratu Boko ticket.
