The Bernina Express is a wonderful experience, full of surprises and breathtaking scenery. The train staff are very friendly and happy to answer any questions. I had an issue with one of our group’s tickets—it wouldn’t open in the offline app. Since I had no internet access, the conductor shared her 4G connection so I could display the ticket and immediately took screenshots of the tickets for future inspections. During our trip, we were able to take lots of photos thanks to the windows that can be lowered, and we also got off at several stations to savor the moment before hopping on the next train without any issues. Thank you

We arrived in Tirano at night—it’s a beautiful town. The next day, we took the Bernina Regional train at exactly 8:49 a.m. They’re very punctual. I recommend arriving about 30 minutes early, since they let you board early and give you a chance to choose your seat. The fact that you can roll down the windows in the summer is wonderful, not just for the photos but also because of the amazing weather. It’s perfect. All the Bernina staff are extremely courteous and always willing to help. Most of them speak English. It’s an experience you have to try.

Excellent—the scenery is amazing!! It’s good to know that at the regional train stops, you can get off, stay as long as you need to explore and enjoy the area, and then catch the next train, which comes every 45 minutes or an hour... We went to Chur, a charming town that’s very affordable... since everything in Zurich is quite a bit more expensive.

Really enjoyed the journey with spectacular scenery. Booking as easy but not sure why you have to wait until 24 hours before journey for tickets to be released.

Riding the Bernina Express was truly an unforgettable experience. The views along the journey were absolutely breathtaking — every moment felt like a postcard coming to life, with stunning mountains, glaciers, and charming alpine villages passing by. The service on board was excellent, with a very attentive and professional staff who made the entire trip even more enjoyable. Everything was extremely well organized, from boarding to the overall flow of the journey, which allowed me to simply relax and fully take in the beauty around me. It’s one of those experiences that goes beyond just transportation — it’s something you feel, appreciate, and remember. Highly recommended for anyone who values incredible scenery combined with comfort and top-level service.
