The cistern area, where the same program was projected as in the submarine tanks, particularly inspired us. The more comprehensive and immersive view of the smaller space allowed us to notice more details than in the large tanks. The subtle video animations accompanying the artworks were a pleasant surprise that enriched our experience of the exhibition. I went in feeling a bit skeptical but curious, and came out quite enthusiastic. I discovered paintings by Frida Kahlo that I had never seen before. Thank you. As a resident of Lorient, this gives me ideas for the graphic design of our submarine base, complementing its current use as a base for offshore sailing races.

Why charge for parking when there’s a place to park closer by (and for free)? As for the reception area at the pool, nothing is explained (except where the restrooms are) Also, our appointment was at 2:00 p.m., and even though we arrived early, the Matisse session had already gotten well underway… too bad! On the plus side: it was really great! We were completely blown away.

Like all the other exhibitions I've attended, the atmosphere was perfect, and the paintings and photos selected were very fitting, as was the background music. It was a very soothing feeling of total immersion! 💖💖 The only downside was the lack of headphones in various languages for Matisse’s narration. International visitors weren’t able to fully appreciate this magnificent show!

A peaceful place steeped in history. The audio guide complements the exhibits well. I visited one July afternoon; there weren’t many people there, so we took our time looking at everything. The wall projections are magnificent, and the cube and the cistern are great places to take a break. I’d love to go back!

We discovered a unique venue that’s perfect for spectacular screenings… we absolutely loved the magnificent images in this incredible setting! I was particularly taken with Frida Kahlo, despite her painful life! I highly recommend this magical and enchanting place!
