Arrive at the Maiden Tower, located at 99 Neftchilar Avenue near the Seaside Boulevard in Baku’s Old City. Present your entry ticket at the main entrance during opening hours (10:00 am to 7:00 pm) and proceed directly inside, where museum staff will guide you to the starting point of your visit.

Maiden Tower

The Maiden Tower is one of Baku’s oldest and most recognized landmarks, with origins dating back to the 6th–7th centuries BC and its current form completed in the 12th century. Now operating as a museum, the tower offers a unique journey through its eight floors, each constructed from carved stone and topped with a domed ceiling.

Explore the interior museum exhibits, which detail the tower’s defensive role and its significance in Baku’s history. Displays are spread across multiple levels, allowing you to learn about the structure’s evolution and its place in Azerbaijani culture.

Climb through the tower’s eight floors, observing architectural features such as thick stone walls (up to 5 meters) and the circular layout. Each level reveals a different aspect of the tower’s construction and use over the centuries.

Your entry ticket includes access to all museum exhibits and sites within the Maiden Tower, so you can move at your own pace and take in the panoramic views from the upper floors.
