Accessibility

Wheelchair access: Wheelchair access is available onboard. Platforms are plowed, but some stops are remote drop-off points where temperatures may reach -40°F. Guests using wheelchairs should arrange assistance at their destination in advance.

Smoking: Smoking is prohibited inside all train cars.

Dining: Dining cars are available on all Alaska Railroad trains except the Hurricane Turn Train. Meals and beverages are available for purchase separately and are not included in your ticket.

Winter schedule: Service operates on weekends through January, with selected midday departures available in February and March. Check the available departures for your chosen date.

Weather disruptions: Severe weather can cause delays or cancellations. Check the forecast before travelling and ensure Alaska Railroad has a working phone number and email address for every guest so it can communicate service updates.

Special winter conditions: Ensure your transportation and accommodation are arranged prior to travel, especially when reaching remote stops.
