CoupleVerified bookingMar 20265/5Experiencing the area when most boats and tourist are gone was fabulous. In the afternoon before dinner we tour part of the area to a remarkable cove where you could see a glacier, a mid level rain forest and the ocean all at the same time ( only one of two places in the world to view this). We toed up there and then kayaked in the cove and spent the night. Early morning we cruised the entire sound into the Tasman Sea. A perfect trip. The food although plentiful was my least favorite in my 25 days in New Zealand. Go for the experience not for the dining. Our cabin was small but adequate and we slept part of the time with the door open to the beautiful views outside. We did have exterior area to stand and two windows on either side of the door. Bedding and sheets were good. The nature talk by the naturalist on board was wonderful. I wish it had started earlier. It should be done with dessert. Dinner to desert time took too long.SSimon E
