I was on my honeymoon with my husband and we picked this activity to break up some long days of travel. I'm so glad we did, the glacier was absolutely stunning and our guide was thoughtful and considerate of the whole group and our needs. He was incredibly knowledgeable of the wildlife, flowers, and history of the glacier. It was such a cool experience to walk along the glacier and look down into seemingly endless crevasses! We stayed safe and on a designated trail, followed with some scotch and chocolate, on the glacier rocks! Our guide encouraged us to be present and enjoy the once in a lifetime experience. 10/10 experience. Thanks for making our honeymoon so much more special!

La excursión es hermosa y los guías unos genios. Lamentablemente la estrella menos es por la mala gestión de headsout ya que ellos tienen partners locales que dirigen las excursiones y les pasaron mal todos los datos, sino era porque fui por suerte a preguntar de otra cosa a la oficina del partner me perdía la excursión porque estaba toda mi info mal cargada. Getting started

Your adventure begins at Puerto Bajo de las Sombras in Los Glaciares National Park, where you’ll meet your guides and board a boat across Brazo Rico. As you sail close to the glacier’s towering south face, excitement builds for the icy adventure ahead. After landing, a short walk brings you to the starting point of your glacier trek.

What to bring

Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy, closed-toe shoes suitable for trekking on ice.

Bring a valid photo ID to match the name on your booking if requested at the entrance.

It is recommended to bring sunglasses, sunscreen, gloves, and a hat for protection against the sun and cold.

What’s not allowed

Large bags, suitcases, and oversized luggage are not allowed on the trek.

Accessibility

This experience is not accessible to wheelchair and pram/stroller users.

Safety first! This experience is not recommended if you have cardiac issues, are pregnant, have back issues, physical or mental disabilities, obesity, vertigo, respiratory diseases (COPD, emphysema, asthma), or have had recent surgeries.

The advanced trek is not recommended for people whose BMI is equal to or higher than 30, pregnant women, people with physical or mental disabilities, cardiac issues, those who've had stents or bypass surgeries, or those suffering from diseases caused by respiratory impairment (COPD, asthma, emphysema).

Additional information

For safety reasons, only guests aged 8 to 65 years are allowed on the medium experience, and guests aged 18 to 55 on the advanced experience.

The glacier walk lasts about one hour and is conducted entirely with professional guides. It is of moderate difficulty and suitable for participants in good physical condition.

Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult throughout the tour.

Minors wishing to join the activity without their parents must present a signed authorization form before the tour.
