The school holidays finally arrived, and our home was filled with excitement. My wife and I wanted to create something special for our child, something beyond the usual routine. After a bit of thinking, we decided to escape the heat and head up to Genting Highlands. The cool air, the mist, and the feeling of being above the clouds already made it magical. But the real surprise came when we booked SkyWorlds through Headout, the deal was great, and we went in with high hopes. From the moment we stepped in, it felt like a different world. We laughed, ran from ride to ride, and simply enjoyed being together. But nothing prepared us for the 4D theatre. As the movie started, our seats suddenly moved, and we were thrown straight into an alien battle. We screamed, laughed, and started shooting like we were part of the mission. When the heat blasted from the screen, it felt so real that we couldn’t stop shouting. Even the people around us were just as excited. It felt like we were all fighting side by side. By the end of the day, we were tired but incredibly happy. It wasn’t just a trip. It was a memory we’ll always hold on to. And deep down, we already know… we’ll be back.

Genting Highlands was one of the highlights of our Malaysia trip. The cool mountain weather was a refreshing break from Kuala Lumpur’s heat, and the scenic ride on the Awana SkyWay cable car offered breathtaking views of the rainforest. The atmosphere was vibrant, with plenty of attractions for all ages, including Genting SkyWorlds, shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. We especially enjoyed visiting the beautiful Chin Swee Caves Temple, which offered stunning panoramic views and a peaceful environment. The entire resort was clean, well-organized, and family-friendly. The staff were helpful, and there was always something fun to do. Overall, Genting Highlands is a fantastic destination for families, couples, and friends. If you’re visiting Malaysia, it’s definitely worth spending a day or two here. Highly recommended! 🌄🎢🚠

Although there can be crowds during peak periods, the overall experience is enjoyable and worth the visit. Genting Highlands continues to improve its attractions and facilities, making it a destination full of fun, relaxation, and great memories. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an exciting and refreshing getaway.

The theme park is modern and clean and is in a cool refreshing climate high up in the mountains. I liked that each zone is based on different movies, so it’s fun to explore and take pictures. The rides are fun for families and thrill seekers alike but it gets more crowded as time goes on. The best ride was the epic boat ride for myself. What made the trip even better was a visit to the nearby Chin Swee Temple. It’s quiet and set in a stunning location on a hill with spectacular views over the surrounding highlands.

The cost reduction from original price gave the experience more of a fulfilment. The experience of the misty climate with the rides was unique. We absolutely enjoyed the atmosphere. It was time and money spent well

Genting SkyWorlds is Malaysia’s flagship outdoor theme park — nine movie-themed worlds with blockbuster rides, global dining, shopping, and entertainment, all set in a cool mountaintop atmosphere.

Getting started

Arrive at Resorts World Genting and validate your entry ticket at the SkyWorlds entrance. Security checks and ticket scans are quick and efficient — just keep your ID or booking confirmation handy.

Important: Please purchase the correct ticket type. If you purchase the wrong ticket, you will be required to pay the price difference based on the On-Site (Walk-In) rate before entering the park. Ticket eligibility will be verified upon arrival.

What to expect

Nine Hollywood-inspired worlds with something for everyone.

Ice Age: Join Sid, Diego, and Scrat on themed rides and playgrounds.

Andromeda Base: Test your courage on drop towers, fighter jets, and rope courses.

Central Park: Cinematic adventures like Independence Day, Night at the Museum, and the aerospace thrill of ESD Global Defender.

Liberty Lane: Planet of the Apes immersive dark ride + collectibles at Redwoods Trading Post.

Epic: Family-friendly rides like Hummingbird Flyers, flume rides, and themed eateries.

Robots Rivet Town: Quirky air rides and the Rivet Town Roller coaster.

Rio: Samba-themed rides including gliders, teacups, and the Blue Sky Carousel.

Eagle Mountain: Mad Ramp Peak racing coaster — a world-first dual-powered track.

Studio Plaza: The grand entry to your SkyWorlds adventure.

Feature highlight — Virtual Queue (VQ):

Reserve up to 3 rides or shows in advance via the Genting SkyWorlds app to skip lines and enjoy more attractions.

Upgrades

You can upgrade your ticket to any one of the following packages:

Cable Car 2-Way + SkyWorlds: Two-way Awana Skyway + SkyWorlds admission. Scenic rainforest views from cable car → Chin Swee → SkyAvenue. Optional free stop at Chin Swee Temple. Arrive inside SkyAvenue, steps from the park entry. Easy, photogenic, and traffic-free.

Cable Car 2-Way + SkyWorlds + Skytropolis: Two-way Awana Skyway + SkyWorlds + Skytropolis. Outdoor blockbusters by day; indoor rides after, rain or shine. One booking, full-day flexibility with dining and shopping in First World Plaza.

What to bring

Have your ID ready for a seamless experience.

For the best experience, wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Bring a jacket or cardigan for the cool mountain weather, and consider a spare set of clothes for water rides. Costumes and full-face masks are not permitted inside the park.

Accessibility

Available at Guest Services (Studio Plaza) — RM35 for single, RM50 for double. Cashless payments are accepted at ticket counters.

All show spaces accommodate guests with disabilities. Ask any Team Member for assistance.

Vegetarian dishes are available at most restaurants. No outside food or drinks allowed.

What's not allowed

Outside food and drinks, selfie sticks, photography or videography, and smoking or vaping are strictly prohibited at the theme park.

Additional information

Children are to be supervised at all times.

Operating hours may change without prior notice. Kindly check the attraction's official website prior to your visit.

Outdoor and large rides may close temporarily during rain or strong winds for your safety.

All washrooms include diaper-changing tables.
